Stella: The time usually ranges. For instance, the claimings rate has been pretty high this past week, but a character could wait for more than a month (worst case scenario). The staff members really make sure that the god-child pairing is right for the character, so the best thing to do is post with your character and wait patiently.

Stella: it is usually based on the frequency of posting by that person. the quicker the staff have an idea about the god, the quicker the claiming can happen. So post alot, and post often. Be active, and just wait. It'll happen eventually.

That's rather simple... You will get a very fancy post in one of your threads and it will also be posted in the 'a halfblood is claimed' thread in the news and announcements section.
All in all, it's a fairly obvious thing and not exactly possible to miss.

There's a portrayer that's currently being used by someone that hasn't posted in six months, but she's still on the list. I think she's logged on, but hasn't posted. I want to reserve her portrayer for my new charrie coming up very soon. I didn't know where else to put this! xD what do I do?

Well i don't think you can reserve that portrayer because they'ved logged on in the past 6 months. I would suggest PMing a mod and finding a back up portrayer.

You could also try contacting the person first, see if they respond at all and they might tell you what's going on.

Question: When you want a weapon, do you just suddenly say you have one?? Or do you need to post in Armoury and Arena and have a Hepheastus kid make one for you?

Also, when you train, do you need to post to say that you are good at archery, or sword fighting, or anything like that??

Well.. I am sort of a weapon-expert that teaches other demigods how to use weapons and usually makes sure you get them.. Problem is, I am in Manhattan.
Or you can make post about getting a weapon, just remember that it can't be magical in any way..
you don't really have to say how you train, as long as you mention what you train.. example:

Mark went to the armory and took out this battlebow and started training his aim with this odd kind of bow

You don't need to get one in the armory, but it would be a logical spot for a new demigod to get weapons Wink

To answer the second part of your question, when your character is training, naturally they'll be good at something. However, as they keep training, what they're good at can change. It's not like if you say one skill, you're stuck with it. Same goes the other way: you don't have to say if your character is good at a certain skill. You can RP it out, but it's not necessary to mention (and it might even change as your character trains more).

Are Romans allowed in the Woods? Just asking, since I plan to RP with Logan there, for he's going to teach a bit of foraging and scouting.

Romans are allowed anywhere in the Greek camp for as far as I know.. It's only the Greeks that need permission to enter the Roman camp.
Most Romans just don't roam in the Greek part of camp much.

Like, allow it into camp?

Think some old members did that once.... they summoned a hellhound, me thinks....

The woods are stocked with scorpions. No need to summon one.
If there is a monster you want to summon, like a hellhoumd, you must get a moderator's approval.

It can happen, but we advise not to. It would mean dropping out in the middle of a semester and having to start over the year next year, which isn't too fun to do at all.
