I notice theres a lot of unclaimed demigods round. Does it usually take lomg to get claimed?

The list can be deceiving...a lot of those demigods aren't really active anymore. Claimings can happen at all different times. Sometimes we get a feel right away, but it typically takes longer than that. Once staff sees you going, we'll begin the process of ideas.
So yeah...timing is different for every character.

To get a character sheet accepted, you need to PM Elijah (-points above-).  Z does most of the new character stuff, and is wonderfully punctual with everything that is reasonable

Unfortunately, members can't "generate" their own character sheet.  We do that as staff so everything is all in one place and for uniformity

Quick question, Ive noticed that the Roman Camp has been pretty inactive, now since I'm a Legacy can I only post on Camp Jupiter or can I post in Camp Half-Blood?

Evinest, the old CJ was destroyed, so now we have the lovely Camp Jupiter 2.0!
CJ2.0 is on the same grounds as CHB, and Romans and Greeks are allowed to interact, so feel free to head over to the Greek side (just as Greeks can head over to the Roman side).

Okay question: do we have to pick a famous person for our face claim? Can we just have a certain pic that we like?

It depends. If the person is of a famous person that you like and that person has already been claimed, then no. If the person hasn't been claimed, then yea, you can use it, but yes, you have to claim that person or the graphic artists wont make you any graphics. Well, until you claim them anyway.

I really used to be into stuff like this when I was younger, and I've been craving coming back for a while, but I'm in college and don't have a lot of free time - how accommodating to members with limited availability would you guys say this site is?

The great thing about HBH is you can sort of go at your own pace.  We have lots of members in college, and they do what they can, when they can.
That being said, you should let people know that you may be slow when you thread with them.  That usually takes care of any impatience people can have.

On another note, we do keep an eye on IC activity.  If you've been inactive for six months, you will be up for deletion.  With this, we will let you know that's a risk about a month before your deletion date.  Staff is always here to help with all that, though.

Oh hey look, it's me with a new name.
Is there a deadline for arriving at Camp for the summer? The current year's school thread doesn't talk about summer break, or the methods of traveling of getting from one place to another.

Alright: I am almost ready for roleplay, but before I actually rush in eagerly like the roll addict I am, I have to ask a few things.
First: In the newbie guide, you indicate that I should get myself on the "Greek gods and their children" list.
Sure, that seems important, but, am I supposed to, like, post on said thread something like "I am unclaimed", or something like that?
I am a bit lost, seeing nobody ever posted on the list page except the admins and the moderator.
