The Swedish girl was rather unfamiliar with the camp of the Romans, as she was a Greek demigod. Of course, she honoured order, it was the only way to keep the peasants in line, but the ways of the camp were very austere on keeping a militaristic ambience, the Roman demigod’s a lot more formal in a way than Aurora’s greek colleagues. Even by knowing next to nothing on their systems and orders, she could tell this just by the way their camp was organized, and the way the Roman’s carried themselves.

Tightly clutched in her hand, was a piece of paper, a set of Roman Numerals scrawled across it, spelling out a phone number. Just getting the numbers into English was a chore for Aurora, she hadn’t felt nearly that stupid in months. Saying it took a long time would be an understatement. It took her half an hour just to decipher the area code, after that she gave up for a few hours. Having Dyslexia was a challenge in itself, but throwing the mixups between the Swedish names and the English ones was a bother to the platinum-haired girl. It was her biggest accomplishment of the month, she’d say.

It was rather hard to slip around undetected, especially being a newcomer with no idea of directions in the Roman camp, it wasn’t as if there was a large board that said ‘You Are Here’ across it. “I was hoping it would be easier to find” Aurora muttered, rather irritated at the moment. It took a lot of effort, in the form of threatening and bargaining, to get this Lindia’s information. From what she was told, she resided in the Third Cohort. These were like cabins in a sense, from what she understood, where everyone slept in ranks with. She didn’t know much about this system, nor did she really care too much. he’d rather see Lindia again, perhaps do a review over this stuff later. She was fairly sure her face wouldn’t be much of a rarity around these parts.

At last, after minutes of hopeless scanning across the perimeters and area of Camp Jupiter, Aurora had found the Third Cohort, she was pretty sure that’s what those numerals meant. Aurora pushed open the door quickly, entering the building slowly, an attempt to not draw an excessive amount of attention. She hadn’t bothered to knock, it wasn’t too important at the moment, nor  did she really care what they thought of her. These people weren’t her company, their opinions would do little to faze the blue-clad demigod. Aurora ducked below the doorframe, entering inside the building, her fingers clutching her scarf, teasing it idely.

“Hm. I’m here for Lindia”, the demigod said, her voice cold and stoic like the weather outside. Her platinum hair parted down her face, shielding the right side of her face, only have of her rather blank expression present. Her crimson eye scanned what seemed to be barracks of some sort, looking for her blonde haired company.

Lindia Septima Inetia was sitting on her roman bunk, lined and built firmly into the side of the third cohort barracks, identical to the others within the building. A chest/dresser contraption was tucked beneath her bed, as well as one at the foot of her little enclave area, which was made her own by various items, despite it being frowned upon by the roman strict sense of order and similarity. Lindia didn't care though, and it showed chiefly as she sat with her back against the wall, one foot up on her firm cot, the other dangling off the side of the bed, covered in a light colored sheet with a cover that was inscribed with the legions symbol and motto.

Her pale feet were uncovered, exposing her freshly polished toenails to the public, although the paint wasn't too professional, as Lindia had done it by hand and she was not a good manicurist. Yawning, this dirty blonde alley cat held her bass up against her stomach, the neck of the instrument stretching our to her other hand, tuning the strings of the instruments. She took amazing care of the stringed tool, her hands lightly caressing the metallic strings, the cool material of the bass against her graphic tee shirt and dark jeans. Lifting her voice slightly, she sang a soft note and strummed to tune the guitar properly: one of her cohort mates had decided to mess with the guitar while she was out one day. Then, in the midst of her work she heard a voice say her name.

Looking up, her hand moving to grip her Gladius, she slowly let go of it as she remembered aurora, watching the swede enter the barracks. "Hello aurora" she called, sliding her bass off of her torso, setting the instrument down on her bunk, propped against the wall: her hand on the dark Cotten woven strap. "You found my residence" She added, a lingering smile upon her otherwise emotionless face. "Such a shock"

Lindia moved her hands from her prized bass to her pocket, pulling out her phone and tossing it onto the mattress, followed by a box of her cigs. Her hair was messy and dyed with a bright streak of red, and her clothing revealed her slim and feline like form as she looked up, watching aurora carefully, awaiting her to move.

Reunion || Lindia Empty Re: Reunion || Lindia

Aurora turned her head, her gaze met with the sight of Lindia, the Roman demigod she sought. She sat on a bunk which was rather bland along with the rest of the others. The whole building lacked originality, more reminiscent to a military academy rather than a summer camp. Apparently that was what the Romans were all about, class and order, not too bad of a system in Aurora’s opinion. It was often necessary to impose regulations on the peasants of the world, to keep afloat in the growing world. It was something her line had managed to uphold for generations, a rising empire in a trade of deceit and scam, as with many other corporations of the day. It was a sovereignty of business, swarming in pools of cash by the hours. The Aldenbergs held a large stake in the Swedish market and the worldwide stocks, however not nearly as pronounced as it was in the domestic stocks. It wasn’t too common to find anything from leather bags to kitchen appliances to be tagged with the Aldenberg name, it was a few mere regulation that compressed them from growing into a monopoly.

The Swedish heiress could see an instrument in her arms, a form of guitar. The low tones identified it as a bass, and the Roman girl was rather talented at it. She was very skilled in maneuvering the instrument, her voice blending and harmonizing with the notes, very pleasing for the ears. Aurora wished she could say the same for her vocals, her voice was too deep to be considered light, but not deep enough to be classed at low, it was a medium, depending on which words she said. Sometimes when she’d whisper things, it was rather deep and many considered it creepy. A weapon of some sorts was beside her, likely as a precaution, Aurora assumed.

Aurora wasn’t necessarily in a bad mood, but not nearly light enough to do something as worthless as a smile. She was rather amused by the black-clad Roman, and enjoyed her company. “Hello Lindia”, Aurora said, her eyes avoid her look, but darting around the barracks, her gaze inspecting the aspects of the sleeping quarters. Whether this was out of habit, or she was unknowingly avoiding the gaze of Lindia, she didn’t exactly know for a fact or was aware of. She sat down on the edge of the bunk, her black gloved fingers placed in her lap. “Hm, yes. It wasn’t too hard to get out of people”, she said, her fingers moving idely, her hands crossed.

Aurora wasn’t partuclary loud as a person, no matter how much she demanded. When she had no requests on anything, she was rather silent, not having anything to do with small chatter, it was deemed useless to her. Sometimes things just had to be said about certain peasants, they were a disgrace to society, many of them tainting the rest with their odious traits. It was common sense to cull them from the mix. As a juvenile, she could be descrubed as rather boisterous and obnoxious, this spoilt nature dampened considerably after her accident. Aurora was never a people person, but for a few months, she refused to let anyone into her bedroom, she had no trust for anyone. It was by pure luck that it died in front of her, she left the hospital before they returned. There was someone else there, who had wanted to take Aurora to camp after, but she avoided it by a hair. She had snuck from the hospital, the night before they had promised to pick her up. She lived out many of her years, never forgetting but pushing it away. No matter how hard she willed it away, it never left. She wanted nothing to do with the life of a demigod, it had cost her her future, and that was enough to steer her away, perhaps permanently. She never understood the appeal of Camp to the others. She enjoed fighting, she could say that, but why would anyone want to make a living knowing they were on the run, anywhere they turned, a threat peering over their shoulder. She had her own bodyguards, but she knew that even that wouldn’t last forever. She didn’t want to meet her ultimate demise at a young age, before she could accomplish anything she scribbled for years.

She watched Lindia, her slim form moving across the bunk. Aurora couldn’t help but notice her torso, and everything above it. Aurora slightly blushed, turning her head away, into the coil of scarf around her neck. Lindia was probably straight, and this was not the day she was going to do anything too stupid, like looking at her that way. She was rather pretty though, and Aurora couldn’t say that about everyone. The platinum haired Swede turned her head over to Lindia, keeping her gaze steady on her face. “So, how have you been.”

Reunion || Lindia Empty Re: Reunion || Lindia

Post by Guest Sat Dec 27, 2014 8:57 pm

Lindia noted the fact that until the final words that the swede had spoken, they had barely looked upon each others faces. Was this a sign of nervousness? Or was the Greek simply examining the Romans barracks? It didn't matter though, unless it was the latter: then it would be important. "How have I been? I've been...alright I would say. The normal. Why would it matter?" Lindia asked sharply, her natural defenses about her life being raised slightly, although she recounted on the harshness and toned it down a little: just slightly. "Training, fighting...in going to look for additional blade soon, my crossbow strings snapped and until they get fixed I would like an additional sword, maybe try dual wielding" She said nonchalantly, as if discussing weapons was something that happened daily, which it was in her lifestyle as a demigod. Unclaimed, yes, but that didn't stop her from trying to be the best fighter she could be in her sight of duty and morals.

"And you?" She asked, a habit of nearly any human being to ask about the care of another...most people would do that. Her father wasn't one of those people...she could remember every little detail about her cursed father from the hair of his chin to those eyes she had related to one of a demon. Now she knew, through trial and error and combat with the demons from the depths of Pluto that her fathers eyes were much worse: worse than those of death itself. That bas... Her thoughts were interrupted by her own hand, stroking across the neck of her bass.

That was just what she needed as she blinked and met the expression of aurora, her eyes drifting from the platinum hair to the soles of her shoes, sizing her up, admiring the fashion: if nothing else. Surely Lindia was feeling emotions inside, but she paid them no mind, paid no attention to the emotions churning in her gut. Instead, she lifted her left hand and looked at the golden ring that decorated her ring finger, the engraving faint but the Latin was still readable. Two words. Two important words.

Lindia stood after the glance at the mysterious jewelry she never spoke of, a few inches taller than her friend...ally...person she knew. She didn't trust the Greek as far as she could throw her, but she could see that possibly she could learn techniques that the roman praetors and centurions couldn't. That, and the fact that this could possibly be an income source of money for her, maybe some cash or items she could pawn to fund such things as an apartment in the city, or her car that she needed to fine tune. The engine had blown a valve the last time she had driven it and needed cash for a replacement part. And some engine fluid. And while she was at it, a car wash would be fine. Not one of those automated car washes either: a wash by hand, where she could put her own love into the car rather than a few dollars from her pocket.

Ignoring those thoughts on her car she blinked, looking at aurora for an answer to her question she had asked maybe a few seconds before, as well as to see what the two of them would possibly do.

Aurora’s stoic expression didn’t quite portray her very well. It was more often her expressions would catapult at astronomical speeds, she could be internally distressed but play it of with a straight face, blank white like her pale face. Amusement was one of the things she didn’t show off quite well, even if she was being silly or even happy for once, it wasn’t the most obvious with her austere expressions. She tended to look rather desolate, if she wasn’t caught up into some petty argument or conniption.

On the topic of weapons, Aurora was not exactly the most gifted with her choices. Her weapons before coming to camp were a long pair of meter long scissors, crafted of silver, along with a set of triangular throwing daggers she would occasionally mess around with. She also enjoyed the use of swords, but it was inconvenient to carry them around, even more so than scissors. Of course, coming to camp her scissors received a bronze makeover, complete with extended length and monster slaying capabilities. It was rather nice, knowing that when she did return to Sweden she would be able to defend herself against the mythological monsters, something she could not do previously, perhaps it would have prevented her from catastrophe as a juvenile.

“I’ve been alright. I was just interested”, Aurora said, her voice showing no concern for herself. “It seems boring in here”, Aurora scoffed, uncaring for those around the cohort that could possibly be offended by her remark. She wouldn’t have cared if it had offended someone, she was clearly capable of standing her own against another, even if it was a Roman, who were more known for their battle tactics and skills as warriors. Aurora noticed a golden ring adorning the Roman girl’s finger, with some sort of inscription in what Aurora believed to be Latin. It didn’t matter to Aurora, she didn’t have any interest in an old dumb language. Even reading Greek was strange to her, just recognizing the symbols without second thought was foreign to the Swedish girl. She could speak 3 languages, not completely fluently, but at least a fourth wasn’t too challenging for her, apparently she was born to speak it. “That is a very nice quality ring, where did you get it”, Aurora pondered absentmindely, thinking to the chunky blue diamonds she strung across her neck each day.

She had wanted to get to know Lindia more, she enjoyed the presence and company of the Roman demigod, it was a fair enough reason to want to be around someone.

Lindia smirked lightly and picked up her phone, slipping it into her pocket, followed by strapping her sword and sheath onto her belt. "It is. What do you say we take a walk, talk." She offered and looked down at her own converse sneakers, making sure they were tied correctly. "We can walk to the little Tiber, maybe to new Rome. I'm not sure if you would be able to enter the city, but I could smuggle you in if your not allowed in the normal way" Lindia chuckled and walked towards the door. "Come on swede" she smirked, opening the door and stepping out to the stone roads that ran through camp Jupiter, taking a deep breathe of air. She craved the cigs now, being in the air and out of the cohort building, but she could manage the addiction by now and just patted the pocket of her pants that the slow death matches were kept. Looking up, Lindia noted the lack of clouds in the sky and sighed, missing the wolf house and it's brilliance: but only for a second as she recollected how much better it was now than then. Even if it wasn't much.

The dirty blonde girl turned around to face aurora who had followed her out and allowed a devious smile across her own pale face. "Perhaps a duel could occur as well? I would like to see if you are indeed of a similar caliber as I" Lindia told her, almost in a mocking tone as her fiery persona took a soft peak into her actions, one hand on her hips, the other on her sword hilt. She had neglected to say anything on the golden ring though, it was her personal secret, her personal mystery.

Pulling on her golden weapon, she smiled lightly as a small bit of the golden blade was revealed, glowing lightly with it's magical properties. Not exactly magical...but magical in the sense that it was created from imperial gold, and not some ordinary mortal metal. No, this was made by a rare medal, crafted in the city of time at the height of the Roman Empire. A pity that time was now against what used to be time, and that the empire was reduced to this one final legion.

Reunion || Lindia Empty Re: Reunion || Lindia

Post by Guest Thu Jan 08, 2015 11:59 pm

Aurora nodded at Lindia's words, but said nothing herself. She knew that Roman's had a strict sense of order, and a fondness for keeping everyone in line. Would she risk getting Lindia in trouble so she and her could have some time out, in the Roman city. And how exactly would she even be smuggled in. It wasn't as if anyone could stuff a nearly six-foot tall prissy demigod into a handbag, at least not if they wanted their head attached to their body.

The ivory haired girl followed Lindia out of the barracks, noting her movements as she exited, following a path and trying to internalize the location of Camp Jupiter. She had barely gotten the hang of how Camp Half Blood worked, she would kind of be at a 'roadblock' until she was claimed. Adjusting her eyes to the bright lights of the outside, her ruby eyes winced, narrowed slightly to rid her sight of the blotchy lights that danced around.

Craning her head around, Aurora turned her attention to Lindia, who was speaking about...fighting. Yes, sparring she thought she heard. While Aurora didn't exactly disapprove of putting some commoner in their place, she wasn't quite sure she wanted to bash Erikur into Lindia's pretty face. Aurora shook her head slightly, wincing at her own thoughts. "Snap out of it, idiot", Aurora muttered to herself, low enough to be nothing but perhaps a faint whisper. "Hm, ja. If you want, I suppose", Aurora shrugged, her expression blank. Her gloved black fingers were clutched tightly onto her pale white scarf, anchoring it to herself, as it fluttered in the chilly zephyrs of the winters cold.

Aurora did notice the lack of information on the ring she wore on her finger. Quite a shame, it looked rather valuable, not quite something she could purchase on her own. However, her attention was soon drawn to the golden blade Lindia wielded. The golden blade was of superior quality. Aurora knew metals to a small extent, mainly from the jewels she wore, but with what little knowledge she had, it was obvious the luminescent blade was a rarity, perhaps even enchanted. It was unique in a way, not quite like Aurora's own scissor blades, Erikur, but rather enchanting, perhaps it had an incantation or two? She didn't know, or care much. It was aesthetically appealing however.

Aurora's hands moved to her long scissor blades, her hands extended forward, resting on the handles, her feet apart at an even distance. "You want to duel, ja?", Aurora inquired, her voice flat. It wasn't often fighting brought her any sense of enjoyment, in fact she didn't enjoy how much physical activity was required. It was the ego-pumping aftermath she thrived off of, knowing another peasant put into their place, which was below Aurora Aldenberg. There were only a few people she could really say she'd enjoy every sadistic moment of their demise, such as that blonde girl, Kallinike. She had no intentions off harming Lindia, it wasn't a sensation she'd thrive from. Perhaps she may even feel guilt, not a common emotion she presented. She had only remembered facing guilt once in her life, at the demise of the only girl she had ever cared about, Adrienne. Aurora knew she wasn't into guys how the rest of the female population was. However, she was often indifferent to girls too. It wasn't as if she was drawn to people, with the rare exception. It was either she liked you or not, and usually it was set in stone, not much could change her perspective. She couldn't quite say that for Lindia however. She didn't really know what she felt towards the blonde Roman, however it was definitely not hatred in any form. She was almost alluring in a sense, it was what tempted Aurora, she had to tread the fine line between her emotions or lack of, if she every wanted to make anything work. Friendships and even just acquaintanceships were overly complicated with the platinum demigod, it wasn't as if her stoic and silent presence was welcomed with open arms, save for maybe the Black Market.

Lindia smiled to herself, hearing the Greek question her want to fight, which Lindia did in fact want. Pausing, her back still to the platinum haired girl Lindia fully drew her blade, the two and a half feet of gold glittering on its more rustic colored hilt. "Oui. I do" She smiled, turning on her heel and holding her blade steady, pointed towards her chest. She noted the scissors, as well as the evenly spaced footing, her hyper mind merging to that of a battle strategist. "No holds barred, no fatalities. No powers, not that you have any..." She smirked, hoping to strike a nerve that she wasn't claimed yet. Aggregating the opponent could prove to be a valuable and dangerous tactic, if properly used. Lindia placed her own foot back, balancing on the balls of her feet, slightly crouching. "Un, Deux, trois!" She called and began her attack.

Her first move was simple, moving her body quickly and smoothly, her blade slicing towards the air to clang against the blades of her opponent. The move was that to test the strength of the metal, as well as the strength within her opponent before she drew back, slicing again. This time though it was off to the side, and low. It would collide with the girls thigh, unless she dodged or parried. Lindia herself had no mental issue with harming aurora, she would openly do so if she needed to as a deeper, more valuable connection had not been funded between the two. At least not yet.

Aurora nodded slightly, not saying a word. Her expression was impassive, as it usually was. Expressions were not portrayed easily by the Greek demigod, it was rare that she was sensitive to anyone or anything for that matter. It was easier to draw out a sadistic snicker than a sympathetic embrace from Aurora, the pain of others was not her own. Only a few people could get her outwardly angry, she held more dislike for the world rather than burning hatred, reserved for a few particular things.

Physical fighting was never Aurora's forte. Where she was strong was pupteering the emotions of others. She was the hunter crouched behind the snare with a sniper rifle, it didn't take much for her to find leverage on you. Minuscule details didn't escape her calculating gaze, weakness was her strength. Her sharp tongue was her dagger, making up for her lackluster physical capabilities. Despite her tall form and intimidating gaze, she was not nearly as quick on her feet as she would have liked.

Aurora grunted at the reference at her unclaimed status. "I find it ironic you aren't claimed either, the input was not appreciated", she retorted. She held no particular ill will against her father, it was near impossible to hold a grudge against someone who you had no idea of. It was rather her mother who she was upset with. Knowing her entire life was a lie was not something the youngest Aldenberg was pleased with.

The blade of the gold weapon grazed across her thigh, slicing through the thick black fabric of her pants. A small cut was scraped across the inside of her leg, not much blood leaving the incision. Aurora put little thought into the unimportant wound, jutting her bronze scissor blades forward in the direction of the Roman's abdomen.

Lindia smirked as she watched the blades in her opponents hands begin to move, coming forward towards her abdomen. Her mind seemed to slow down and analyze the battle, analyze her opponents style. After all, it only took one mistake to end a battle, a mistake which Lindia would not and could not lose. Noticing the position of her opponent and the blades she spun on one foot, raising her elbow on her right, blade in her left hand. Then, moving as she turned once more on the other pivot, she brought her elbow to auroras shoulder hard, following through with a slash of her blade towards her side. She made sure though, to turn the handle within her palm to allow only the blunt end to hit aurora: if it did make contact. She would want to kill someone who may be an ally for her.

Therefore, once the attack was delivered, Lindia spun completely so that she could face the swede. She wanted to trade an insult, in fact it was almost called for from this battle so far that was unfolding, right outside of the barracks in camp Jupiter. It could be considered a test of strength, or a quest of personal gain, but currently and in this moment, the thoughts of what would happen after the conclusion was not on the blondes mind, only this battle was. The goal was to take out aurora as quickly as possible, and without injury to herself, if it could be avoided. Switching her bladed weapon to her right hand, she held it out and ready for the next attack. Already her muscles were tensing and flexing, her strength being expressed from both her slim body and frame but from the visible fire within her blue eyes.

OOC: I've tried out the moves in the battle, and it's all legit.

Ares: God of War and Violence

The very same second that the Olympian council adjourned, Ares wanted nothing more than to pulverize something. Free time was hard to come by and Aphrodite was otherwise entertained… if pulverization was on his mind, this may be the only chance he’d get to indulge in a long time.
By this point, the god was so busy that he basically had no hobbies any longer. He grumbled. Ares was plenty busy in his domain at the moment, but the fact that very few of the conflicts were close to home made Ares antsy. Yeah, pulverizing something would definitely soothe his mind.

But, alas, Ares soon recalled that now was not the time.
Would there ever be a time?!’
Recently the god was made aware that his daughter had entered camp half-blood. The age of thirteen had come and had passed and his daughter was more important than ten (give or take) blissful seconds of pleasurable destruction.

Aluminum baseball bat in tow, Ares entered camp half-blood. To oppose many of the other Olympians, Ares was quite pleased that the Romans had made a permanent home in the Greek camp. It certainly made him uneasy, but the level of conflict was steady and ever-present. He couldn’t quite place the feeling, but Ares wasn’t at all hindered that his daughter was in the Roman camp – in fact, he kinda was proud. It proved to him how bold and confident she was in herself, or surely would turn out to be. Though, he had trouble ignoring the ear-splitting headache that entering Camp Jupiter 2.0 caused.
Unfortunately, Ares didn’t arrive on his trusty steed: a flame-licked Harley Davidson, because (for once) he intended to be inconspicuous. If he entered boisterously, all of his children would, like, expect attention or something. Luckily they took after him – so the little brutes wouldn’t be asking for hugs and kisses (…right?). Today, he had time enough for Aurora Aldenburg, and Aurora only. Besides, he saw a piece of his other children in some way or another every time they entered a fight. So, basically, he saw them every day, just as now he saw a small piece of Aurora without actually being present.

Soon, however, he was present. He watched just from outside the barrack… and what he saw worried him. Ares picked up immediately the Aldenburg’s weaknesses in fighting. Though, over the years she had learned to hide them well beneath the sharp edges of shears. Ares knew full well that she would be inefficient and uncomfortable wielding anything else, but no one would ever learn their true potential without being pushed out of their comfort zones. The god of war had had many children over the years and time definitely improved his parenting. He knew almost immediately what he had to do in order to help his daughter.
Even if Aurora’s battle prowess was lacking, her bloodlust was not, and that was enough incentive for the god to give Aurora his blessing. First, Ares snapped his fingers and the symbol of a red boar appeared above his daughter’s head; then, he used his power to manipulate Aurora’s weapon. It morphed into a long majestic sword. It would morph in her hands as she wielded it until it reached the perfect balance and most comfortable feel for her. Last, Ares gave Aurora his blessing and entered the third cohort. Basically, his blessing would make her near-invulnerable in battle. Even if Aurora wasn’t comfortable wielding this weapon, everything about the way she fought would be heightened and improved. Maybe then, she’d learn her true potential.

Of course, he would never tell her of this blessing. So if she attempted the sword later, she’d still pretty much suck, but maybe she’d finally have the idea in her head that she had the ability to succeed with any weapon she put the effort into. The blessing would, of course, wear off in just shy of five minutes. But five minutes was well enough time to learn a lesson.

The two girls would soon turn to see a man, tall and buff, and wearing red-tinted wraparound sunglasses. But, if the combat boots, black jeans, leather duster, and bulletproof vest weren’t enough of an indicator, Ares still proceeded to announce himself.
”I am Ares, god of war and violence. Aurora Aldenburg, you are my daughter.” Ares feared that the fighting would stop, but the will of a battle had a mind of its own and Ares had no say in whether or not the fight would continue after this ground-breaking moment in Aurora’s life.
”The sword is your gift. Twist it in your hand and it will again become your trusty shears, but if you ever decide to twist it once more into the form of a sword, the weapon will grow with you. As you become stronger, the weapon will grow heavier to accommodate you perfectly. It will steadily grow longer or shorter with your adapting fighting ability – it will always be the perfect weapon.”

Part of Ares feared that even though he had given Aurora the gift others would die for; she wouldn’t want it or ever use it. But he had to try. She was a hero and a hero (especially a daughter of Ares) shouldn’t have as many weaknesses in her fighting ability. Maybe one day she’d learn that this was from his heart. She had already grown so much, and he was eager to see how she would continue to grow in years to come. Ares nodded, an approval of his work, and as he exited, Ares finished with: ”I hope this helps you find a greater sense of who you are as a person and as a fighter – oh, and, welcome to camp! Always remember that the ‘Capture the Flag’ rules are just guidelines. There has been a serious lack of maiming recently.”

((Congratulations, Aurora!))
