Umberto Alò
UMBERTO ALÒ
18 || Non-descript || Single
Unclaimed Demigod
Short Character Description:
Umberto was born fatherless in Trieste, Italy. His childhood was spent in a village, Draga, on Italic-Slovene border, after he and his mother were cast out. Living in a border village was tense, and eventually things boiled over to the night that the Slovene settlement across the hills decided to lob petrol bombs at their village. He has no-to-little recollection of what happened that night and even less-so how he ended up in The United States. Umberto is quiet (read: can't speak English. At all.), melancholic and a slightly temperamental.
Desired plots:- English Tutoring: Pretty sure there is a great chance for someone to try and teach Umberto some basic English, and for some great plotting in and amongst the mistakes he makes, the gaffs he says and the faux-pas which get him and his tutor into a fair whack of trouble.
- Friendliness: Umberto will need to eventually make a friend or two, however I'd love it if this could come around from some incredibly bizzare circumstance
- Romantic Advance/s: In seeing that Umberto has never really had any time to think about romance or feelings, it would be absolutely fantastic for any takers to try and reign his heart in - and don't think it's going to be an easy catch!
Anything else?
I'm totally open when it comes to other plots, so hit me up!

Re: Umberto Alò
Maybe Devin could be an English tutor? Maybe once they're at a point where they can manage some bit of understanding each other with the Italian and Spanish, Devin could help Umberto with English while still managing their sort of understanding. I feel like the basic understanding of Italian/Spanish would be helpful in going forward with English.
Did that make sense? *headdesk*

That sounds incredible Z! I'm sure it could lead to many, MANY awkward circumstances as far as trying to learn it in the reverse has proven for me ahah

Re: Umberto Alò
Woohoo! I think Devin also has the type of patience to help someone learn a language.
I just imagine this (literal) collision...and Devin goes off in Spanish and Umberto goes off in Italian and it's like...a moment of clicking. Just thoughts on a start.
