A piece of happily ever after (Calix) Empty A piece of happily ever after (Calix)

Lúthien was seated in the Principia, doing paperwork. Well, sort of. Lúthien absolutely detested paperwork and it was something her husband was very aware of. Not just that, he knew her better than anyone else and somehow thought she had the needed skills to lead one of the cohorts. It was a rather important job and Lúthien still wasn't fully sure how it had ended up on her plate. In the past she'd never have accepted the position and might even have laughed at anybody that told her it was hers for the taking. A true Roman would find it an honour and do all they could to serve well but Lúthien had not been a true Roman in the past. Blinded by her own desires and ambitions she'd seen nothing but that which was important to her. Having a cohort certainly didn't matter at all. It was responsibility and nothing but a bother. Lúthien had changed, becoming more Roman in a sense. She still detested some of the more orderly things like schedules and paperwork but by now she could at least appreciate that being chosen as centurion was a big deal and not something to laugh off and throw to the side. Still, the responsibility was a bother, even if she didn't mind it as much now.

With a sigh Lúthien finished off the last piece of paperwork she'd been making curled up in her own little chair and walked over the her brothers desk. She usually piled her stuff on Calix's desk but today she had something else in mind. First of all, annoying her little brother with extra paperwork was always a positive thing. Even if Elijah officially ranked above the young Austrian woman, she most certainly didn't treat him like a superior. More like a nuisance or a little brother, even though the difference between those two was hard to distinguish for Lúthien. She and Elijah fought rather often but she still did care a lot about the little pest, as she lovingly thought of him at times. She was happy whenever he was and in her own strange way was ready to help him out if needed. Naturally the woman had no idea how she ought to do that but it didn't exactly stop her from trying. A small sly smile played on her lips and she took a minute or two to make sure every page was different, which would make it harder to sort through the pile. They didn't even all face up. She'd randomly rearranged them and part of her regretted the paper not being squares, which would have allowed her to make it a little harder on her little brother. Just for fun of course. He was chaotic enough to make sense of it.

At that point Lúthien checked the clock, noticing that Calix ought to be back from his training soon. He trained much more than she did these days and well, it was rather easy to say that Lúthien was possibly getting just a tiny bit lazy. She's try to blame it on the paperwork if anybody ever bothered to accuse her of getting lazy though. Her new life was hardly ever in a dangerous place and she had plans of her own that didn't match up all that well with constant violence when Lúthien knew she tended to go berserk in the arena. Battling fellow Romans to the death was not a good plan and not particularly healthy either. So her plan was pretty much to calm down a little bit until she and Calix had managed to achieve one of their more recent goals after getting married. Having a child. Lúthien wasn't too sure how much of a hurry Calix was in but if it was up to her, she'd be pregnant today rather than tomorrow. She scrunched up her nose slightly as she looked at her belly, which was extremely flat in her own eyes. "Look at you Lúthien." She muttered softly to herself. "Who would have ever thought you'd end up the married with kids type? I think even your parents would have been shocked at that." She muttered to herself. Although she considered Elijah her brother by now, she still didn't consider Discordia to be her mother. She had accepted that her biological father had been forced to leave her and an orphanage by now though.

Lúthien's eyes went up as she heard the noise of footsteps approaching. Calix would soon be there and the thought alone made her smile. Even if she was with him every single day she still missed him when she wasn't in his presence. It wasn't an extreme kind of missing, more the kind where she simply liked it better whenever he was around. She could easily be alone for hours on end but somehow she felt more complete when she finally returned to the arms of her husband. Standing up from his chair, Lúthien walked to the door, ready to greet her beloved with a hug and a kiss the moment he came in. She wasn't always spontaneous but well, it kept things interesting, right? It was part of why they balanced each other out so well. She smiled and waited for the door to open. When it started opening she smiled and greeted the one whom she knew would walk through that door. She could recognise the difference between his tread and that of Elijah easily. She smiled as the door opened. "Hello Calix." She said and gave him and hug and a kiss. "I'm done with my paperwork. Do you have some time off?" She asked him, even if he was supposed to have time off according to his schedule. She just hoped she'd checked the right one. She had managed to mess that up once or twice in the past.....

((So... bad... rustyyy >.> I hope it's okay <3 sorry that it's a bit later than planned but here it is!!))
