Short Character Description:
Jack is your friendly, lovable, (often airheaded) son of Venus.  He’s a very happy-go-lucky guy who loves talking to people.  He has that magical ability to strike up a conversation with anybody about anything.  That tends to mean Jack has masses of acquaintances, but only a few really close friends.  Even so, when referring to people, he’ll call almost anyone a friend.  Jack recently married Elijah Emmanual-Wheelan, his boyfriend of three and a half years.  The son of Venus loves him to death and would never, ever consider cheating on him, but there’s one minor problem.  He still has a very flirtatious nature.  He can’t easily turn that off.  He’s likely to accidentally flirt with somebody without really realizing what he’s doing.  Jack never means anything by it.  It’s just sort of the way he interacts with people.

Desired plots:
~Jack’s friendship circle is slowly growing, but it’s still a little small.  It would be nice for him to make more friends, especially if it’s in a way that isn’t his norm.  Bonus points here for extra creativity in how they meet.
~Jack is a Centurion.  He’s never really had to step into this role before.  He has the label, but he’s never done anything with the job.  It would be interesting if somebody came to him with problems that needed the help of a Centurion.
~My baby is a lover, not a fighter.  But let’s be real, nobody survives the legion without becoming a warrior of Rome.  Having somebody train him in the arena would be very fun to work with.

River Halvorson

Twenty-One || Heterosexual || Single
Daughter of Trivia Durus || Second Cohort

Short Character Description:
River was at the original Camp Jupiter back in California.  She moved with it when it came to New York.  It was in Camp Jupiter that she really learned to thrive.  She was claimed by Trivia, and is slowly learning to control the powers that come with being a child of the goddess of witchcraft.  While she likes to explore, she’s also very careful that she doesn’t hurt anybody in the process.  All in all, she likes people.  For the most part, she tries to get along with everybody she meets.  She at least gives them a chance.  River does, however, have a bit of a temper.  If you rub her the wrong way or hurt somebody close to her, she will bring down every possible ounce of wrath on you, and it won’t be pretty.  That said, she also likes to have fun.  She’s the kind of girl to let her hair down at a party, or to let everything go for the sake of having a good night with her friends.

Desired Plots:
~I would really, really, really love to stick River in a romantic relationship.  The problem is, she’s not a very touchy-feely person.  In fact, she isn’t very romantic at all.  A part of her would love to have a future with a special someone, but it would be a very unique relationship.  It would almost be more like a best friend who she occasionally kisses.  River needs the kind of strong, independent guy who doesn’t need her in his life, but still wants her.  If you have somebody who’s up for the challenge, please, please, please let me know!  This right here is pretty much my top interest for River.
~River’s best friend/adopted brother is Elijah Emmanual-Wheelan.  He was the first person she really got close to at Camp Jupiter 2.0, and the two share a special bond.  She does need other friends, though.  She is open and friendly, and is more than willing to learn about other people.  Nearly any situation could lead to a friendship.  Lately, she has been spending a lot of time developing various potions and salves to be used in the infirmary.  Perhaps she somehow makes a friend that way?
~Romans are supposed to be trained strictly with their weapons.  I imagine River sticks to that schedule quite well, but I haven’t played it out yet.  I’d like to put her in the arena with somebody.

Anything else?
Like I said, playing out a romantic plot with her would be the most fun right now.  Besides that, see my big note at the bottom.



Will Solace

Sixteen || Gay || It’s Complicated
Son of Apollo

Short Character Description:
Meet Will Solace, everybody’s favorite child of Apollo!  It’s been a long time since I’ve played a canon character, but after rereading the series, I fell in love with Will.  We’re going to see how well I can portray him here.  As we all know, Will is happiest and most comfortable in a pair of scrubs in the infirmary; however, all work and no play makes Will a dull boy.  Obviously, he’s capable of letting loose and having fun at times, too.  He certainly needs people to relax and hang out with when he’s off official duty.  Though he isn’t as fantastically musically talented as his siblings, he does still have that natural ability.  Stick a guitar in his hands and he’ll be able to play.  (His mother also gave him lessons when he was a kid.)  Similarly, he’s a good archer, but not as great as his siblings.  He’s likely to spend a fair bit of time practicing that skill.  His one hidden talent is that he can sing.  He has an amazing voice, but most people rarely ever get to hear it.

Desired plots:
~Friends are obviously a first priority here.  Will is a happy, easy-going guy, so this shouldn’t be too difficult.  I imagine he has a handful of close friends and a fair amount of acquaintances outside of that.  He never struck me as the type to have one best friend, but rather a small group of three or four that are always together.  Either way, he needs somewhere to start with friendships.
~I haven’t been around here in a while, but I’m pretty sure there are a handful of Apollo kids lurking somewhere.  Will obviously has to meet his family.  In this case, I’m not limiting that to just the Greek side.  I think it would be interesting for him to meet his Roman family, too.
~Things get a little funky here with romantic relationships.  As far as I know, Nico doesn’t currently exist on HBH.  If somebody has a free spot and is willing to pick up Nico, that would be awesome.  In the meantime, I think I am going to keep Will single.  It’s hard to imagine him dating anyone else.  (An exception may be made if you can come up with a really good plot as to how Will and your OC started dating.)

Since Will is a brand new character for me, please be patient as I get him on his feet and figure out how he works.





ADDITIONAL NOTES FOR ALL
Please, please, please be aware of two important things right now.  One, I had eye surgery less than a month ago.  I still haven’t fully recovered.  As such, I’m still trying to limit my time in front of the computer until I can see a little more clearly.  Two, my job is currently undergoing a massive change in leadership.  Because of all of that, I may not have the time or the energy to get on and post every day.  That being said, here’s what’s up with my babies.  At the moment, I am looking for no more than ONE thread for each character.  That means one for Jack, one for River, and one for Will.  I’d like to do it that way, so I can keep them all active.  This is also so I do not overwhelm myself or leave any of you hanging for too long.  (I might be willing to make an exception here and there if I know you have extreme amounts of patience.)  Thanks to the whole eye surgery thing, I will not be posting more than one reply a day; however, I will do my best to answer each thread at least once a week.  Before I disappeared, my average word count was 400-700 words per post, but I am a little rusty.  I can work with whatever you give me, but at the same time, please forgive me if my posts are a little short and crappy while I get back into it.  I believe those are all the important points, but if I’m missing anything, don’t be afraid to ask!
