Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion)) Empty Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion))

It had only been a couple days since everything that had happened, but Elijah was only just starting to get back to normal. He had seen Jack Wheelan around camp, sporting a beautiful black eye and cut along his cheekbone. It still hurt, though. Every time the boy saw him, he could feel himself radiating again. What the older boy had taken from him...well, there was no way Elijah could get his first kiss back, but he would do everything in his power to make sure he was never taken advantage of again. No matter what that meant. And right now, that meant training. Training until he couldn't breathe, training until every muscle in his body was on fire. The boy had already taken a couple of laps around Camp Jupiter, and was now jogging towards the arena. As he reached the arena, Elijah chuckled. Camp was definitely whipping him in to shape...he was barely out of breath. Not that the boy had ever been out of shape, with all the fighting he did, but with all the running he had been doing, and working with Potentia and Ferocimus...he may have been scrawny, but Elijah was as ferocious as his mother.

Popping open his poison rings and finding his daggers in his hands, Elijah twirled them around, slashing at the air. No one was in the arena, which was probably for the best...the boy didn't want anyone to see him lose control. He could let the chaos out and not bother anyone. Which was all good, because the boy was radiating like crazy. He had seen Jack twice on his run...and as much as the black eye and cut cheek were starting to satisfy Elijah, seeing the older boy still set off...well, pain. All sorts of anger and pain. It was like he was a little boy being yelled at by his father again. That was the last time the boy could remember being in this much pain. Around the time he had taught himself not to feel pain. And as much as he was teased at school, or yelled at at home, Elijah would just put up his mental shield. Or fight his way through. That was the way to go. But now Elijah was feeling all those years worth of pain, it had hit him all at once. That wasn't going to go away anytime soon. Especially if he kept seeing Jack around, which he would. Camp wasn't all that big, and sporting that black eye, the older boy was even more noticeable than he had been before.

Not even stopping, Elijah swung at the first dummy he came across. His dagger work was getting good, and he slashed right through the straw dummy's chest. He must have destroyed so many of these dummies by now. But the boy didn't care right now. With a loud cry, he slashed again, making an 'X' mark in the dummy's chest. It felt good. If Elijah's radiation had a physical form right now, it would probably look like something akin to an atomic bomb going off. Everything, the past few days, what had happened...the son of Discordia hadn't come to train and now that he had, everything was coming out. He was releasing all the chaos that was building up inside of him. That was already built up inside of him...it felt so good. Slashing at the dummy, occasionally bringing up a knife in a defense pose, Elijah felt himself working up a sweat, felt like he was pushing himself too far. And the boy didn't care. Passing out might be good...it wasn't like the boy had been getting any sleep. But in the back of his mind, Elijah knew he couldn't abuse himself like this. Not over a boy. Not over anyone. But Elijah pushed on, breathing heavily, his movements getting slower.

Although Elijah wasn't sure at what point he had dropped his daggers and started using the dummy as a punching bag, or at what point he had tripped or fallen or whatever, but Elijah found himself face-first in the dirt, sobbing again. He didn't have the energy to pull himself out, but rather curled up in a ball, his muscles aching and head hurting. Why couldn't he do the tiniest thing without throwing a full out tantrum? At least, they felt like full out tantrums. In his head they were tantrums. In his heart, Elijah felt like he had every right to cry. Had he really thought at some point that he and Jack...Gods, had he really had a crush on the older boy? River always teased him about it, but it seemed absurd. He had just thought Jack was cute...right? There had never been a "connection", the two had never even talked. Either way, it wasn't fair. Even as he felt a hand on his shoulder, Elijah didn't move. "Leave me alone," he snarled, though he doubted it sounded too intimidating with him face down in the dirt. "Go away. Go to hell, for all I care. Just go."

Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion)) Empty Re: Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion))

Post by Guest Tue Jan 15, 2013 11:47 am

These days, Lúthien was a lot calmer, a lot less likely to radiate than several months back. Today, however, was one of those days where the daughter of Discordia could be seen in a corner of the arena, her cold dead eyes scouting for possible trouble to make. It was a bad habit, but Lúthien took her anger out on others and most people made the mistake of heading for the arena when they were angry. Lúthien shamelessly took advantage of that. A few of the smarter Romans had learned to avoid the arena while Lúthien wasn't in there. The slightly less wise just avoided it when she wasn't training. The average person didn't know the Austrian girl well enough to be aware of her unpleasant side. They walked into her traps of uncontrolled anger. Being the daughter of ruined discord, she often caused fights out of pure spite and her victims didn't keep it at a friendly battle. No regret passed Lúthien when she truly got angry though. She watched the fight with cold indifference, leaving before the finale, finally letting the radiation get out without pushing it in anger. Lúthien when angry wasn't something anybody liked.

Her emotionless eyes were turned on two young teens that day and after a particularly heavy fight, the two dripped out of the arena, shouting threats and insults. Lúthien knew exactly what factors had led to that fight. She was the reason after all. The God-loving demigods that seemed to surround her had once again attempted to convince her that being ignored by a parent that was alive for seventeen years was completely okay. Lúthien disagreed and her demeanour had become as cold as ice towards those Legionnaires. If one of them had tried to make her angry that way, she would have mentally laughed at their faces. No such luck though, they truly believed what they said. Another thing that was starting to finally have an impact on Lúthien was her brothers near constant radiation. Lúthien was sick and tired of it by now and she didn't care her brother was suffering. She just wanted him to get over it already.

It was at that point that Elijah walked in. Lúthien slunk back into the shadows, her eyes glowing in the darkness that surrounded her. She watched as her brother trained and radiated. She felt his radiation and she fed of it, fed her determination and her own radiation. He didn't even notice her although her own radiation was hardly anything at that point. She was as cold and dead as a person under a rock on the point of emotions at that point. When Elijah threw all his radiation out there with his feelings, all Lúthien did was snort derisively. She slowly crept for the shadows and walked over to her younger brother. Her look was full of disdain and revulsion. He was weak and it showed. All this over a kiss, it made Lúthien feel that this guy could never truly be her brother. No, he was pathetic and the worms themselves seemed to have more strength. All her so called brother did was lie on the ground, crying like a new-born baby. Lúthien placed her hand on his shoulder, to turn him around and give him a piece of her mind.

He snarled at her to leave him alone and told her to go to hell. Well since Lúthien had no doubts she'd end up there, her radiation was strange. It didn't spread like usually but clung to her skin like a thick layer of intense and extremely destructive chaos. Filled it hatred, spite, arrogance and many other emotions that didn't bear the light of day when combined. As a fire of pure darkness, the radiation of chaos was around her. Like a sickness. "Control yourself." She said, her voice cold and regal and commanding. "You've been crying over this for about a week. If you truly believe in those Gods of yours, believe they have a reason for your first kiss to have been stolen from you." She said, not a piece of pity or compassion in her voice. Her cold, dead eyes looked down on Elijah. "Weak." She said with a look of disgust. In her eyes, that was all he was at that moment, a weakling she'd feed to the dragons if she could. It was a first kiss and even though it had been stolen, it wasn't like his future happiness depended on it. He only made it seem that way himself. All Lúthien saw was a little boy, drowning himself in self-pity. Disgusting and weak. Elijah was out of luck, for he managed to bring out one of the worst sides Lúthien had and now, that side had chosen to confront him. That was rare and most unpleasant.

((Sorry about the pure cruelty?))

The hand on his shoulder...the radiating. That had to be his sister. Great. That was the absolute last thing Elijah needed, an oncoming storm from Lúth. Because that was surely what was coming his way...a storm. A great storm. And the boy didn't want to deal with it. She was probably watching him and judging right now. As she rolled him over, the boy stood, picking up his daggers and making them disappear back into his poison rings. Brushing dirt off of himself, Elijah tried to look as presentable as possible. He probably failed miserably at that, with tear streaks on his face and the fact that he was quite probably still covered in dirt. But Lúth was giving him that look and it was kind of scary. In fact, it was really scary...and making Elijah angry. She was going to give him hell? He would give it right back. It probably wouldn't make a bit of difference with how she looked, but in the end, the boy knew he would crack. He didn't need a lecture right now. He needed his sister. The Lúth he knew existed under that hard exterior. That was who the son of Discordia needed. And he would beg if he had to. Anything to get his sister. Anything for some compassion, something other than...this.

And as Lúth started speaking, Elijah got angrier and angrier, radiating more and more. "Lúth," he snapped. "Control myself? Last time I checked, I'm allowed to react how I want to," he snarled. But his sister wasn't done. Random phrases drifted in and out of Elijah's head. If you truly believe in those Gods of yours, believe they have a reason for your first kiss to have been stolen from you. Well Lúth definitely had a point there. But her eyes were cold and dead, those eyes that the boy hated to see. That wasn't his sister. Lúth had been happy lately, being with Calix and all. The boy was so sure things were changing. But apparently not when it came to him. Elijah would always be...the boy had to take a deep breath at the word. He wasn't and he never would be weak. Just because something had upset him didn't make him so. Something big. Something that hurt the boy to the core of his being. Well he had a word or two to say to Lúth. And he was so ready to burst. A week of pent up anger was about to come out, and it wouldn't be pretty. It was a good thing there was no one around to hit (the boy would never, ever hit his sister), because if it was anyone else, they might come out of it with a black eye or broken nose.

"Lúth!" Elijah snapped again. "You really think I'm crying over a stolen kiss? There is so. Much. More. I finally got some attention, and it was a proposition for sex. I liked him, Lúth...I liked him. I saw him around camp. I had a crush on him! And I finally, finally got some attention for him and all he wanted from me was sex!" Elijah took a step closer to his sister. "Do you know how that feels?" the boy asked in a deadly hiss. "It feels like someone is ripping something out from you, piece by piece. Until you feel like nothing, until you feel worthless. That's how I feel right now. Worthless. I am worthless." Elijah's eyes burned with a bright fire. "And I know you don't give a damn. Because you're fine, and in a lovely relationship with someone who loves you...I can't have that, Lúth. I don't get a happy ending. All it is is misery and sad tales for this little gay boy. I'm not attractive, I'm not likable. And apparently, I'm only good for sex. Even though I've never..." he couldn't finish his sentence the way he wanted to. "Even though the only kiss I've gotten was forced on me by that asshole!"

With a sigh, Elijah slumped slightly. "Please," he said softly. "Just...be my big sister. For once, find some compassion and try not to give me a hard time." Yeah, like that was going to happen. The boy was angry...he was so angry, and who better to work on that with than his sister? Lúth knew all about anger, she had always been an angry person...well, up until recently. "Because I swear to the Gods, Lúth," Elijah found his anger again, snapping at his sister. "Something is in play here and I don't know what it is, and it makes me want to tear my hair out!" he nearly screamed. "I like to know what's going on, and I don't! So please, please, be a decent person for once in your damn life and offer me a hand instead of kicking me while I'm down!" the boy glared at his sister, eyes filled with anger and hurt. And a little bit of hate. Hate for who, Elijah really wasn't sure, but he was filled with hate. And radiating like crazy. Anyone near the boy at the moment would probably go crazy (except his sister, luckily). "So, Lúth," the son of Discordia finally said coldly. "Are you going to be a sister, or are you going to leave me the hell alone?"

Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion)) Empty Re: Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion))

Lúthien could feel the radiation around her brother and she knew that her radiation was seriously affecting him. The idea alone made her want to burst out in laughter. It was so easy to get him angry. Easy to get on his nerves and make him aggressive. Lúthien actually wanted Elijah to throw a punch. To prove to him he wasn't above hitting her, that he didn't have control. If he could show his weakness like this, Lúthien felt it was no different what he did or didn't attempt to do to her. She wasn't even going to defend herself if he decided to attack her, all she would do was give him a satisfied smirk. It was nothing more than a game to Lúthien and one she wanted to win. "Of course you are." She said bluntly. "But your manners are unbecomming for a leader. Too chidish and short tempered." She noted dryly with that same calm and emotionless expression. The Austrian girl had no mercy at this point, not for anybody. Her brother had a lesson to learn, the hard way if needed.

Lúthien laughed at Elijah as his story came out. The irony of it all just made her burst out in laughter. She managed to control her laughter while giving him a smiling look of pity over stupidity. "Oh Elijah, how clueless you are." She said, shaking her head and with a smile on her face she patted him on the cheek. "Are you truly naive enough to believe what you just said?" She laughed again and sat down, completely relaxed and at ease. She wasn't even radiating anymore even though Elijah had a storm of Chaos around him. Lúthien smiled at Elijah sweetly. "You see, if Jack had only been after sex, he shouldn't have been as effected by the rejection as he was. I spoke to him after you gave him that black eye. He actually didn't seem too pleased to have your anger. You always think too fast and rush into situations. You got yourself a black eye by that." She didn't mention her own broken hand, that was of no interest to this situation after all. "Ever considered talking to the pretty boy? Add in another black eye?" She said, teasing and taunting and fishing for more anger. She was treating him like one might treat a toddler, or a dumb person that never seemed to understand the situation.

"And stop moping about. The only one responsible for your happiness is you. Self pity that never ends is one of the reasons people end up alone. Forget the guy or find out his real intentions. You're being a current source of chaos in a destructive way and I don't appreciate it. The Legion needs a balanced leader and blah blah. Take faith in your own hands and dump Jack in a ditch if he really bothers you that much." She said in a slightly bored tone. Something about him was starting to mellow Lúthien and that didn't have to be a good thing. Well, that was until he asked her to be decent. Decent. Anger rose within Lúthien. "So I'm not decent?" She said, her tone as cold as ice. Her blood was boiling and that was never a good sign. "You want your sister? I suppose I should get her for you. After all, how can somebody ruined ever be decent, ever be helpful. How in the world can I ever be the type of sister you need?" She said, her words dripping with venom, dripping with hate.

"Pray then, to our accursed mother. Pray she'll send you the sister you dreamt of." Lúthien spat at him, tears in her eyes. "Because it's obvious I'll never be good enough for you." She said but she still sat down in front of Elijah. "You wish for somebody that never existed. The girl you want was burried six years ago, Elijah." Saying that broke Lúthien but she knew her brother was right, he needed his sister now. He needed for her to be friendly. Deep inside Lúthien hoped their mom would find another sibling to take on that job. It brought her too much pain to be a friend to him. To care about him and share problems with him. She'd been spending the last six years trying to never feel again. Her parents had taken three years in order to bring her around enough to function again. "But as you wish." She said and took a deep breath before facing Elijah. "I'll be your sister, for as far as I can."

Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion)) Empty Re: Releasing the Chaos ((Lúthien Anárion))

Post by Elijah Emmanual-Wheelan Fri Jan 18, 2013 12:29 pm

Knowing he was just feeding into Lúth's little game, Elijah tried to relax himself. He knew his sister better than that. She was probably greatly amused by how the boy was acting right now, which made the boy quite a bit angry. He felt himself radiating even more...but that was probably just what Lúth wanted. Problem was, Elijah had no way how to stop it when it was this bad. Narrowing his eyes at the girl, the boy itched to do something...anything. Turn back to that straw dummy and start punching it or slashing at it...but she was right. Elijah's manners were unbecoming of a leader. It was something he'd have to do something about. Because how could anyone look to him when he was acting like this? Yes, Elijah was hurting, but he needed to do something about it. He couldn't keep moping because someone was an ass to him. But it wasn't fair! All the boy wanted to do was sulk and destroy. "Childish, no," Elijah snapped. "Short tempered, yes. And you're really not helping, darling sister," Elijah knew his moods were changing quickly, but there wasn't much he could do about that either. Especially with Lúth pushing him like this.

When Lúth started laughing, Elijah had to remind himself that he had to start acting like a human being again. His sister's laughter only pissed him off more, though. "Maybe I am clueless...maybe your should put yourself in my shoes, though," he said coldly. "And don't touch me," he growled as Lúth patted his cheek. The boy was not a child, although, he had to admit, he was acting like a bit of one. Turning around to silently fume, his sister's words struck a cord deep within the boy. "Who would be pleased to be on the wrong side of my anger?" he snapped. "I had every right to punch him. Trust me, sis, he had it coming. Just like you had your broken hand coming," he sneered, turning back around. "You really think you're that much better than me, don't you? Treating me like a child, making me more angry on purpose...you really think you're better than I am. And you know what, Lúth? That's sad. You're sad." although his words were calm enough, Elijah was angry. He was so angry, that his own sister was treating him like this. Weren't siblings supposed to be supportive? The son of Discordia knew his sister could be anything but, but he also hoped that the situation was extreme enough for her not to treat him like this. Her words were biting...and the boy could bite back. It might not show on Lúth's face the way it showed on his, but the boy knew he was doing something.

"Put yourself in my shoes," Elijah repeated, glaring at Lúth. "Maybe it would give you a clue. Because talk about being clueless," the boy shook his head. "Oh, Lúth...you don't appreciate anything I do," he said in a sickeningly sweet tone. "Because none of it is good enough for you. None of it fits your standards, and none of it lives up to what you want. Get used to it, I am who I am, and I'd rather be me than you!" Elijah lashed out. He was angry, and he was going to take it out on Lúth as much as she took things out on him. When his words got an obvious rise out of Lúth, Elijah felt a sick sort of satisfaction. At least something was getting through. "You can be decent, but you certainly aren't being so right now," the boy said icily. "Talk about self-pity. Mum says ruined and that decides your fate? Let me just go tell Calix, then. I'm sure he'd love to know that the girl he loves is nothing but ruined. You need to start practicing what you preach, sis. Or does that not fit into the tiny bubble world you've created for yourself?" Elijah felt like his whole body was on fire he was so angry...radiating so badly. Needed to calm down...but he couldn't. Not with his sister acting like this, not covered in dust, or feeling the way he was feeling.

Angrily, Elijah stomped his foot. "You really don't get it, do you, Lúth? I don't want a different sister...I want you. I want you to dig deep and find those feelings I know are there. Be that good person I know you are," although his words were filled with anger and spite, Elijah was only speaking the truth. Lúth wasn't a bad person, as much as she might think so. Elijah knew that. Calix knew that. Why couldn't Lúth know it? She concentrated too hard on what their mother had said to her, the girl was just as unwilling to change her fate as Elijah was. Stubbornness. Was that a Discordia quality too? "That's really all I expect from you," Elijah said angrily, ready to stomp his foot again. How teenage girl was that? At any rate, Elijah looked at Lúth, trying to keep tears from his eyes. "I hurt, Lúth. I'm hurting a lot. Obviously. And River can't be my only support. You're the only one who can properly deal with and help me with the radiation. Right now the whole camp is probably ready to blow. Please Lúth...please be the person I know you can be. And help."
